School Uniform Code

As representatives of Westfield Academy, we expect all students to wear their uniform with pride. School uniform helps us to have a sense of belonging and ensures that everyone is treated equally.

Equipment List

You WILL need:

  • Chromebook
  • Reading Material
  • Pen
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Eraser
  • Colouring Pencils
  • Calculator
  • Exercise Books              (provided by subjects)

You may need:

  • Glue stick
  • Protractor
  • Scissors
  • Pair of Compasses

 

 

 

MAIN UNIFORM

The following items of uniform are compulsory:

  • Black School Blazer with logo (KS3)
  • Black V Neck Jumper with logo (KS4)*
  • Black Skirt
  • Black trousers - tailored trousers or plain black leggings (no jeans)
  • White Shirt - plain white short or long sleeve, with stiff collar (no other item of clothing to be worn underneath the blazer)

All the above items can be purchased via the Price and Buckland website and South West Schoolwear, Wine Street, Yeovil.

South West Schoolwear are currently offering a discount to those in receipt of Free School Meals or Pupil Premium Funding - 50% off the first of each compulsory item that you buy.  If you would like to take advantage of this offer please contact the Finance Office to request a letter.

* Compulsory from September 2025. Blazer or V-Neck Jumper can be worn by Yr 11 during 2024/2025 Academic Year.

The following items are also compulsory:

  • White or Black socks, or plain black tights
  • Black shoes - All black footwear - shoes should be completely black including soles and logos. High heeled shoes or boots are not permitted.
  • House tie - the tie colour will depend upon the house your son/daughter is allocated to. These will be purchased direct from the school.

Optional item:

  • KS3 Students may wear a plain, knitted, v-neck, black jumper with no logo underneath a school blazer (not on its own). Sweatshirts, hoodies etc are not permitted

Jewellery - No rings or jewellery to be worn. Students with pierced ears may wear one plain stud in each earlobe.

No facial piercings, including tongue studs, are allowed.

Coats - plain colour with no large motifs. Showerproof fabric - no leather or denim.

Make up - no make up in years 7-9, years 10 and 11 may wear subtle make up.

Hair - Extremes of fashion not permitted. Hair should be natural in colour with no razor cuts below no. 1.

Nails - False nails, nail extensions, long nails and nail polish are not allowed. Nails should be trimmed so as not to cause injury around school.

PE UNIFORM

The following items of PE uniform are compulsory:

  • Royal and White long sleeve Sports Shirt with logo
  • Royal and White polo shirt with logo
  • Royal and white games socks

All these items can be purchased from the Price and Buckland website.

In addition the following items are compulsory:

  • Black shorts
  • White Socks
  • Shin Pads
  • Trainers 
  • Football boots - these must be compatible for use on a 3G pitch

Optional items:

 

Please also note that specific trainers are required for use on the astroturf, that have suitable soles for the surface. They should have prominent studs, with no blades. Normal football boots with round studs are ideal. The photos below show which trainers are acceptable.
