Curriculum

No two students are the same.

That’s why we believe in offering a wide-ranging curriculum that helps us bring out the best in everyone.

Through providing this choice, we can make sure that all students have the opportunity to study subjects that are suited to their own interests and abilities.

KS3 Curriculum

Students follow the national curriculum, comprising the subjects of English, Maths, Science, Social Ethics (Religion & Society), Physical Education, Computing, Geography, History, Modern Foreign Languages, Design Technology, Art, Music, Drama, Citizenship and Personal Development.

KS4 Curriculum

All students follow GCSE courses in English Language, English Literature, Maths and Double Award Science.

Students also follow non examination classes in Social ethics (Religion and Society), Personal Development/PSHE (Personal, Health and Social Education),  Careers, Physical Education.

Students may also currently opt to study subjects from the following list of GCSE or BTEC courses:

  • Separate Sciences - Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Geogrpahy
  • History
  • French
  • Spanish
  • German (until 2017)
  • Mandarin
  • Art
  • Music
  • Drama/Theatre
  • Dance
  • Design Technology/Food
  • Design Technology/Graphics
  • Design Technology/Resistant Materials
  • Design Technology/Product Design
  • Computing
  • Sport
