Results Day 2026

Celebrating the Class of 2026: Outstanding GCSE and Vocational Results

We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students and everything they have achieved in this year’s GCSE and vocational qualifications.

In Maths, more than three-quarters of students achieved grade 4 or above. In English, 70% achieved Grade 4 or higher with over half achieving Grade 5 or above in both.

There were strong performances elsewhere too. Art saw more than two thirds of students achieve grade 5 or above, while more than 80% of students studying Spanish achieved grade 4 or above. Students in Music achieved an especially impressive set of outcomes, with 70% of the group achieving grades 7–9.

Our vocational students also have much to celebrate. Every recorded BTEC Business result achieved at least a Level 2 Pass, with almost 90% achieving Merit or above and more than half achieving Distinction or Distinction*. In Performing Arts, every recorded outcome was at least a Level 2 Pass, with more than 85% at Merit or above. Strong outcomes were also achieved in BTEC Sport and Health & Social Care.

Results Day is though about far more than the headline figures.

Every student began from a different starting point and has followed a different journey through secondary school. For some, success means achieving a Grade 9 or Distinction*. For others, it means securing the Grade 4 or 5 needed for sixth form, college or an apprenticeship, exceeding a personal target, making remarkable progress during Year 11, or achieving despite significant challenges along the way.

We are particularly proud that so many students leave us with qualifications that open doors to their next stage of education, training and employment. Just as importantly, they leave having developed the confidence, independence and determination that will support them in whatever they choose to do next.

These results are also a reflection of the commitment of our staff and the support provided by parents and carers, and we are enormously grateful to everyone who has helped our students reach this point.

We congratulate every member of the Class of 2026 and wish them every success as they move on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships and the many opportunities ahead.
